"It's All Gone Pete Tong" is cockney rhyming
slang for a situation that has all gone wrong. Pete
Tong is the name of a real superstar DJ from the UK.
The comedy film It's All Gone Pete Tong is a fictional
bio-pic that examines the life of superstar DJ Frankie
Wilde. The film tracks his descent from stardom that
is precipitated when he completely loses his hearing.
As a deaf DJ, Frankie Wilde is forced to face the
demons of drugs, alcohol and arrogance; while at the
same time he must begin to recreate himself within
the superficial world that has consumed him. While
telling Frankie Wilde's story, It's All Gone Pete
Tong offers an insider view to the contemporary music
and DJ/club culture that has become a worldwide phenomenon
and it all takes place in Ibiza, Spain -- the real
heart of the dance and DJing scene -- during a summer
of parties, music and excess.
